If you have prepared black currants for the winter in the form of jam, jam or jelly during the berry season, but the berry remains, prepare a delicious and healthy drink from it - blackcurrant compote with lemon. It is prepared in 3-liter cans and with a small amount of currants, because there should be just a fragrant drink with pleasant citrus notes. Such compote is often complemented with mint, lemon balm and spices, but this is to taste.

First, measure out the required amount of ingredients for preparing the drink and immediately put clean drinking water to boil in a saucepan.

Carefully separate the currant berries from the large branches, and the small ones do not need to be removed. Then rinse the currants well and discard in a colander so that the excess water is glass.

Rinse a 3-liter jar with baking soda. You do not need to sterilize it. Pour the prepared currants into a clean jar.

Rinse the lemon with a brush and cut a half of it together with the zest into thin slices.
