Blackberry and raspberry compote for the winter

Raspberries with blackberries are placed in a three-liter jar and filled with sugar syrup. Then everything is rolled up under an iron cover and left to cool completely. It turns out a very tasty and moderately sweet compote.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We start by making the syrup. Pour the required amount of drinking water into a saucepan and pour sugar syrup into it. We put on fire, bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 2 out of 5
We sort out the blackberries with raspberries, get rid of the rotten and deformed berries. Then we rinse them under cool running water and put them in a colander so that all the excess liquid is glass. We take a pre-sterilized three-liter jar and send the berries there.
step 3 out of 5
Gradually pour the ready-made sugar syrup into them so that the jar does not burst.
step 4 out of 5
Boil the lid for a couple of minutes and roll the compote under it.
step 5 out of 5
We turn the jar upside down. We wrap it in a towel or blanket and leave it in this way for a day. Now we remove the compote in a cool dark place for storage. We take it out in winter, pour it into glasses and enjoy a wonderful vitamin drink. Bon Appetit!
