Blackberry and apple compote in 3-liter jars for the winter

The berries and apples are boiled in cane sugar and star anise syrup. Then everything is poured into sterilized 3-liter jars and rolled up. The finished compote turns out to be very tasty and with a pleasant note due to the spice.

Wash the apples thoroughly, cut out the core and cut into random pieces of medium size. The rind can be left on or cut off.
step 2 out of 8
We take a saucepan of a suitable size and put the chopped apples there.

First we sort out the blackberries, and then rinse them thoroughly under cool running water. We put them in a colander and let them stand until all the excess liquid has drained.

We send berries to the pan with apples.
step 5 out of 8
Next, add the star anise stars.
step 6 out of 8
Fill everything with 1.5 liters of drinking water and put the pan on fire.
step 7 out of 8
Bring the compote to a boil, take out the star anise and add the cane sugar. Stir and cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes. Then turn off the stove, cover the pan with a lid and let the compote brew a little.
step 8 out of 8
Banks are sterilized in advance in a convenient way. Pour the drink into them and roll up the lids. Turn it upside down, wrap it in a towel or blanket and leave it for several hours until it cools completely. Next, put the compote in a place suitable for storage and open it in winter. Bon Appetit!
