Blackberry compote for 1 liter jar for the winter

Blackberries are placed in a sterilized jar. Sugar, citric acid are poured into them and everything is poured with boiling water. The compote is immediately rolled up with a lid, turned upside down and left to cool completely.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To begin with, we sort out the blackberries, getting rid of all the debris and possibly rotten fruits. We put them in a colander and rinse thoroughly under cool water. Let it stand so that all the excess liquid is glass.
step 2 out of 5
We sterilize a liter jar over steam for 5 minutes or do it in another convenient way.
step 3 out of 5
Pour the washed blackberries there. Pour granulated sugar and citric acid on top. If desired, you can add more sugar to make the compote sweeter.
step 4 out of 5
Boil drinking water in a kettle and fill it with the contents of the jar. Boil the lid for a couple of minutes, cover the compote with it and immediately roll it up. We wrap the jar with a towel and dangle it to the sides so that the granulated sugar is completely dissolved. Next, turn it upside down, wrap it in a blanket or towel and let it stand until it cools completely.
step 5 out of 5
We send the cooled compote for storage in a dark cool place. We open it in winter, pour it into glasses and enjoy a delicious and healthy drink. Bon Appetit!
