Pear and orange compote in a 3-liter jar for the winter

Citrus fruits always evoke a pleasant feeling of warmth and comfort, which is especially needed in the winter season. And pears, in turn, are very pliable and perfectly absorb the sweetness of the syrup, becoming caramel.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Rinse the pears thoroughly and cut them in half. We cut out a core from each slice, trying not to deform the slices themselves.
step 2 out of 5
Pour boiling water over the orange, then rinse again and dry with a paper towel. Cut the half of the orange into rather large slices.
step 3 out of 5
We wash the jars for closing the compote with soda and sterilize in any way you are used to. Put the fruits of pears and oranges on the bottom of the prepared jars.
step 4 out of 5
To prepare the syrup, dissolve granulated sugar in cold water and bring the contents to a boil.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the boiling solution into a jar filled with fruit and sterilize for 15 minutes over low heat, lowering the jar covered with a lid into a pan filled with boiling water. We roll up the compote with a sterilized lid. Then we turn it upside down and cool it, wrapping it in a blanket.
Enjoy your meal!
