Pear compote and plums in a 3 liter jar without sterilization for the winter

Compote is such a versatile drink in which almost all types of fruits and berries can perfectly coexist, while maintaining their uniqueness. In this recipe, the acidity of components such as pears and plums is compensated by sugar syrup, and the absence of additional sterilization preserves their beneficial properties.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To prepare compote, it is important to thoroughly rinse the fruit. Pear skins can be peeled or left on. Do it on your own. We cut the washed pears lengthwise and remove the core with seeds.
step 2 out of 5
We carefully sort out the plums in order to avoid getting rotten ones, which can spoil the taste and aroma of the compote. Then we cut the fruits into two halves, from which we remove the seeds. In parallel with this, we sterilize the jars in any way you are accustomed to.
step 3 out of 5
We pass to an equally important stage. Pour granulated sugar into a container with two liters of clean water and mix well. Then we bring the liquid to a boil and boil for another couple of minutes.
step 4 out of 5
At this time, we lay out plums and pears in sterilized jars, alternating them with each other. Immediately pour the finished sweet syrup into the filled jars and close them with nylon lids. Then we wrap the jars with compote in a blanket and leave to cool slowly to room temperature.
step 5 out of 5
That's all! We send the compote for storage in the refrigerator or pour it into a decanter right away and enjoy the incredible taste.
Enjoy your meal!
