Pear and apple compote for a 3 liter jar for the winter

A great way to put a good harvest of apples and pears back on track. These fruits not only interact well with each other, but are also complementary. Especially if the apples have a pleasant sourness, and the pears are moderately sweet.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
In order to make the compote as useful and vitamin-rich as possible, we leave the peel of apples and pears intact. At the same time, we thoroughly rinse them and soak them in a bowl of water at our discretion.
step 2 out of 6
We divide the fruits into several slices, and then be sure to cut out the core from them.
step 3 out of 6
After that, we put all the fruit slices in previously sterilized jars and fill them with boiling water so that it completely covers the pears and apples. We warm up the fruits for about an hour, covering them with a lid.
step 4 out of 6
After this time, pour the broth into a saucepan, fill it with granulated sugar with citric acid and mix thoroughly. From the moment of boiling, prepare the syrup for 2-3 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
Pour boiling sugar syrup into a jar for crushed apples and pears, filling the container to the very edge, cover the compote with a lid and send it to sterilize for 10-15 minutes in a pot of water. Cover the bottom of the pan with a towel.
step 6 out of 6
Close the finished compote with a sterilized lid and cool, turning it upside down.
We wish you successful blanks!
