Pear compote in a 3-liter jar for the winter

Pear compote has a very pleasant taste and perfectly quenches thirst in the heat. Both adults and children love this drink. Pear is a rather sweet fruit and by itself in compote can give a monotonous inexpressive taste. To refresh the pear and make it brighter, add lemon juice. Lemon acid will only decorate the compote and will favorably set off the sound of a pear. From the specified amount of raw materials, one three-liter can of drink is obtained.

Rinse the pears thoroughly with running water. We cut each fruit into longitudinal slices and cut out the seed pods. If there are defective areas, we must also cut them out. Put the pear wedges in a saucepan and fill with the specified amount of water.

Bring water with pears to a boil and cook for twenty minutes at medium temperature. After the specified time has elapsed, remove the pan from the stove. Pre-wash the jar and lid for the compote with a soda solution and scald with boiling water. Put boiled pear slices in a prepared sterile jar. It is convenient to remove from directly from the pan with a slotted spoon, leaving the broth in place.

Rinse the lemon with hot water, cut it in half and squeeze the juice out of it. You can use a citrus juicer, or you can simply squeeze the half in your hand, additionally piercing the pulp with a fork to separate the juice.

Filter the resulting lemon juice through a sieve and pour it into a saucepan to the pear broth. Also add granulated sugar next. Place the pot on the stove again and bring the syrup to a boil. You do not need to boil for a long time. Pour pear slices in a jar with hot syrup.

Cover the jar of compote with a lid and put it on sterilization for ten minutes. After that, we roll up the jar with a lid, turn it upside down to check the tightness and leave it to cool. We put the cooled compote for storage in a cool, dark place.
