Pear compote with citric acid without sterilization in a 3-liter jar for the winter

If you decide to do without additional sterilization, then we recommend adding citric acid to the compote. In addition to additional acidity, it contributes to long-term preservation storage.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We wash the pears thoroughly using a sponge or brush. Then dry or immediately wipe off excess liquid with a paper towel.
step 2 out of 5
We cut each fruit into several slices, from which we further remove the core and bones.
step 3 out of 5
Fill the pot with water and put it on a small fire. After the water has boiled, we lower the pears into it at the same time as the granulated sugar. Stir everything well and turn it off immediately after boiling. Let the fruit brew for no more than five minutes.
step 4 out of 5
At this time, we sterilize the washed cans. Then we proceed to filling them. Carefully pour the compote with a scoop, adding citric acid to each jar.
step 5 out of 5
We close the pear compote with a simple nylon lid and wrap it in a blanket. We store the drink in the refrigerator for no more than three months from the date of preparation.
Enjoy your meal!
