Pear compote with mint in a 3-liter jar for the winter

An incredibly refreshing and invigorating compote that is worth your time. The pulp of pears is perfectly saturated with sugar syrup, and mint leaves behind a long and pleasant aftertaste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Since we are preparing compote from whole pears, the fruits are thoroughly washed from the sand and dried. To speed up the process, the pears can be dipped in a paper towel. Then randomly pierce them with a fork or any other sharp object.
step 2 out of 5
Let's move on to making a sweet and delicious syrup. Pour granulated sugar and a little citric acid into a wide saucepan with water. Bring the liquid to a boil, cook for a couple of minutes.
step 3 out of 5
After, we lower the prepared pears into it. After boiling, immediately remove the pan from the heat and leave the pears in the syrup until they cool completely. We repeat the same steps one more time.
step 4 out of 5
We remove the pears from the syrup and put them in jars. We also add a bunch of washed mint to them.
step 5 out of 5
And we put the syrup on the fire again, bring it to a boil and then pour it into the jars of pears, filling them to the very edge. Close the compote with sterilized lids and cool it upside down. Then we send it to storage until winter.
Enjoy your meal!
