Pear compote in a 2-liter jar for the winter

If you have tried compotes made from apples and other seasonal fruits, then you will feel the difference from the first sip. After all, the compote from ripe pears turns out to be much softer, more tender and more aromatic. And in order to enhance the aroma and set off their sweetness, feel free to add spices like cinnamon or cloves.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
To prepare a delicious compote, we recommend taking ripe and juicy pears with an incredible aroma. We wash the fruits thoroughly, divide into several parts and carefully cut out the core. If the rind is thicker, it is better to cut it off.
step 2 out of 5
Transfer the quarters of pears to a deep saucepan and fill with cold water. Initially, bring the contents to a boil, and then gradually reduce the heat and cook for another 15 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
We put the pears in a sterilized jar, and leave their broth in a saucepan. We immediately add granulated sugar, stir well and bring the syrup to a boil.
step 4 out of 5
Pour the boiling sweet broth into a jar of pears, filling it to the very neck.
step 5 out of 5
Then we roll up the compote with a previously sterilized lid, cool to room temperature and send it to be stored in a cool place for a long time.
We wish you delicious compotes!
