Irgi compote without sterilization for the winter

The berries are poured with boiling water, after which the liquid is poured into a saucepan and cooked with sugar. The syrup is poured back to the irge and everything rolls up. The cans are turned over, cooled and sent to the basement for storage. The drink opens in winter and is served at the table.

First, wash the soda cans thoroughly.

We sort out the berries of the game well, getting rid of leaves, twigs, rotten fruits and other debris. We rinse under cold running water and put it in a colander so that all the liquid is glass.

We transfer the berries to a clean jar.

Pour boiling water over the irga, but only so that the water completely covers the berries. Cover the jar with a clean lid and let cool.

Pour the resulting broth into a deep saucepan and add the remaining drinking water to it. The berries must remain in the jar. We put on fire and bring the liquid to a boil.

Pour the required amount of granulated sugar to the berries and fill them with boiling broth.

Cover the jar with a lid and roll it up. Then turn it upside down, wrap it in a blanket or towel and leave it overnight.
