Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Wash a three-liter jar thoroughly and sterilize it by steam or in another convenient way. Boil the seaming lids in a saucepan.
step 2 out of 9
We sort out Irga well, getting rid of leaves, twigs and rotten berries. Next, we rinse them under running water and put them in a colander. We are waiting until all the liquid has drained from them. At this time, we put a saucepan on the fire, pour water into it and let it boil.
step 3 out of 9
We fill the jars with berries. The taste and color of the finished compote will depend on their quantity.
step 4 out of 9
During this time, the water should have boiled. Pour it into jars with berries and let it brew for about half an hour or more.
step 5 out of 9
We put a lid with holes on the jar and pour the resulting infusion into a deep saucepan.
step 6 out of 9
Pour 250 grams of sugar. You can add more or less, depending on the desired sweetness of the compote.
step 7 out of 9
We put the pan on the fire, bring the liquid to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes so that the granulated sugar is completely dissolved.
step 8 out of 9
Pour the resulting syrup back to the berries, cover the jar with a lid and roll it up.
step 9 out of 9
We turn the jar upside down and wrap it in a towel. Let it stand until the compote cools down, after which we remove it for storage in a dark, cold place. Bon Appetit!
