Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
To begin with, we sort out the berries of the irgi, getting rid of leaves, twigs, rotten fruits and other debris. Next, we thoroughly rinse them under cool running water and put them in a colander so that the liquid is completely glass.
step 2 out of 6
Wash the apples well, dry them with a paper towel, cut out the core and cut into thin slices. The thinner, the more syrup they will absorb.
step 3 out of 6
Pour drinking water into a saucepan, add granulated sugar to it and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Then add citric acid there, stir again and remove from heat.
step 4 out of 6
We sterilize the jars in a convenient way and fill them with irga and chopped apples. Fill them to the brim with boiling sugar syrup.
step 5 out of 6
We roll up and turn the cans upside down. We wrap them up with a towel or blanket and let them cool completely.
step 6 out of 6
We send the compote for storage in a dark, cool place. We take it out in winter, pour it into glasses and enjoy the finished drink. Bon Appetit!
