Strawberry and black currant compote

A fragrant rich compote is obtained from black currant and strawberries. The homemade drink can be prepared both in summer from fresh berries and in winter from frozen ones.

For the recipe, you can use fresh and frozen berries. If we take fresh ones, then we sort them out beforehand and wash them thoroughly under cold water.

We spread the berries in a deep saucepan, cover with sugar and fill with water. We put on the stove and bring to a boil, then simmer for 25-30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Before removing from the stove, make sure that all the sugar has dissolved.
