Strawberry and apple compote

You can prepare a delicious and aromatic strawberry-apple compote with a light citrus note at any time. This compote is equally good with both fresh and frozen berries. If you wish, you can prepare such a compote for the winter, but it is much easier to freeze strawberries and prepare fresh compote at any time.

Rinse the strawberries in running water or simply remove the frozen berries from the freezer.

Boil water on the stove and put the berries in there when the water boils.

While the strawberries are boiling in the pan, cut the apple into small wedges and send to the berries in the pan.
