From ripe and freshly picked berries of red bird cherry, which always pleases with a bountiful harvest, you can make a healthy and aromatic compote. This will be a good alternative to store-bought juice. Cherry leaves are added to the compote, it is possible with twigs, which will give the drink a cherry aroma. Pour the bird cherry in jars with hot syrup and immediately roll up the compote with boiled lids. Turn the jars upside down, cover with a warm blanket and leave to cool completely. Then transfer the compote to the storage location for the blanks. Compote can be drunk only a month after preparation. It is impossible to store bird cherry compote for more than a year, since hydrocyanic acid from the seeds can turn into syrup.
