Red currant and raspberry compote in a 3-liter jar for the winter

Red currants and raspberries ripen at the same time, and for lovers of homemade preparations, an assorted compote of these berries will be a godsend. The drink is obtained with an extraordinary aroma and taste, and it is also very useful, since these berries contain a lot of vitamin C. The compote is prepared by a single pouring method, and preservatives in it will be sugar at the rate of 300 g per 3-liter jar and currant acid. For compote, currants and raspberries can be taken in equal quantities, or in a 3: 1 ratio, but not vice versa.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
For compote, choose ripe and good berries, because the quality mainly determines the taste of the finished drink.
step 2 out of 7
Separate the red currant berries from the twigs and rinse in a colander under running water. Carefully remove the sepals from the raspberries. Garden berries do not need to be washed.
step 3 out of 7
First rinse a 3-liter jar with baking soda, and then be sure to sterilize in any way convenient for you.
step 4 out of 7
Then put clean currants and raspberries in a prepared jar. Pour the amount of sugar indicated in the recipe straight into the jar. The compote will be sweet, but the aroma and useful properties of the berries will be perfectly preserved in it, because we cook with a single fill.
step 5 out of 7
Boil clean drinking water in a separate bowl.
step 6 out of 7
Pour boiling water over the berries in a jar, filling it to the very top of the neck, and immediately seal the jar tightly. Check the tightness of the seaming and turn the jar in your hands several times to dissolve all the sugar.
step 7 out of 7
Then put the jars on the lids, cover with any "fur coat" and leave overnight until they cool completely. Such compote will be well stored in an apartment, only in a dark place.
Happy and tasty preparations!
