Red currant compote with mint in a 3-liter jar for the winter

For those who love refreshing drinks that contribute to good spirits and good mood, it is impossible not to add mint to the compote. Moreover, just a couple of leaves will be enough, from which the simplest compote with sour currants becomes very peculiar and incredibly tasty.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Initially, we will prepare all the necessary components and measure the required amount for the preparation of compote. We also immediately rinse the mint leaves and be sure to dry them.
step 2 out of 5
We sort out the berries and soak them for a while in cold water. In parallel with this, we send the pot of water to a small fire and bring the water to a boil.
step 3 out of 5
Dissolve sugar in boiling water, then add red currants and prepared mint. After boiling, cook the compote for 4-5 minutes, trying not to overcook the berries.
step 4 out of 5
After this time, turn off the heat and leave the compote to infuse for a couple of minutes. Only after that, we pour our berry drink into sterilized jars.
step 5 out of 5
We roll up the compote with sterilized lids and leave to cool to room temperature, wrapping the jars in a blanket. This completes all the stages of preparation.
We wish you bon appetite!
