Wild strawberry compote for the winter

A good way to dispose of a large amount of strawberries at once, because, in comparison with strawberries or cherries, this berry does not have a rich and concentrated juice, and it can take quite a lot for seaming for a brighter taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Before preparing compote, it is necessary to sterilize the jars. There are many ways to do this, for example, in the microwave, in the oven, using boiling water or soda, etc. Choose the most convenient and suitable option for you. The main thing is to allow the dishes and lids to cool and dry completely after sterilization. In the meantime, rinse the strawberries under running water, having previously selected all the rotten and unripe berries and tearing off the greens, discard them in a colander and let the remaining liquid drain.
step 2 out of 6
Put strawberries in prepared jars at the rate of 200 grams per 2-liter jar.
step 3 out of 6
Boil water and pour it over the berries in jars, not reaching the edge of the neck a few centimeters. Cover the jars with a lid and leave to infuse for 15 minutes so that the berries give off juice.
step 4 out of 6
When the strawberries are infused and the water has cooled down a little, carefully drain the liquid from the jars into the pan.
step 5 out of 6
Add sugar to the juice, put on fire and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. After boiling, cook for a minute, the sugar should completely dissolve.
step 6 out of 6
Pour the resulting compote into jars of berries, leaving 1.5-2 centimeters empty. Close the lids or roll up the cans immediately afterwards. Then fold them upside down, cover with a blanket or blanket and let cool completely. Then you can store it in a dark and cool place.
Bon Appetit!
