Raspberry and strawberry compote

For cooking homemade compotes, both fresh berries and fruits and frozen ones are suitable, and you will always have a delicious vitamin drink on your table. Raspberries and strawberries will make a sweet compote that children really like.

Sort and wash fresh berries and fruits. Take the frozen berries out of the freezer; it is not necessary to completely defrost them. Place a pot of water on the stove.

When the water comes to a boil, put the fruit in there and cover the pot with a lid. Cook until the compote starts to boil. Then turn off the heat and do not remove the lid, let the compote brew for 20-25 minutes.

While the compote stood under the lid, the berries gave up all their juices and vitamins. Remove the berries from the compote with a slotted spoon and add sugar. Heat the compote so that the sugar is completely dissolved.
