Nectarine compote and plums for the winter

Chopped plums with nectarines are placed in jars and poured with boiling water. After 5 minutes, the liquid is poured into a saucepan, sugar is added there and everything is brought to a boil. The resulting syrup is poured into jars, into which citric acid is added and everything is rolled up.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Before starting cooking, we thoroughly rinse the jars in which the compote will be stored with soda and sterilize them in any convenient way. We wash the plums with nectarines under running water, dry them with a paper towel and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 6
Pour drinking water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. At this time, we put peeled plums with nectarines in the jars and fill them with boiling water to the very neck. Cover everything with sterile lids and let it stand for 20 minutes.
step 3 out of 6
After this time, we put a lid with holes on the jar and drain all the liquid into the pan.
step 4 out of 6
Add granulated sugar to the broth, mix well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes, until sugar is completely dissolved.
step 5 out of 6
Pour nectarines with plums, the resulting sugar syrup and add citric acid to each jar. We roll up everything with lids and turn it upside down. We wrap it in a blanket or bedspread and leave it overnight until it cools completely. We store the compote in a dark, cool place.
step 6 out of 6
We take it out in winter, pour it into glasses and serve a very tasty rich drink to the table. Bon Appetit!
