Compote of nectarines and grapes for the winter

Sweet compote with pleasant taste and aroma. Grapes can be taken with or without seeds. Nectarines can be disposed of those that are not very tasty in fresh food: hard, unsweetened. In compote, these qualities are leveled by sugar, the drink turns out to be delicious. The proportions are calculated for three liters of compote.

We sort out the grapes, remove the stalks and defective fruits. Rinse and dry thoroughly. We wash the nectarines, dry them, cut them in half and remove the seeds.

We wash and sterilize jars and lids in any way possible. We put nectarines and grapes in jars.

Bring the water to an active boil and pour it into jars of fruit. We cover the jars with lids. Leave to steam for fifteen minutes. Then pour the infusion into a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Pour granulated sugar and citric acid into jars of steamed fruits. Pour in the boiling infusion.

We tighten the lids. We turn the jars with compote upside down to check the tightness. We wrap them in a blanket and leave to cool slowly. After cooling, we remove the seams for storage in a cool, dark place.
