Nectarine and cherry compote for the winter

A quick recipe for compote from cherries and nectarines for the winter. Sterilization of compote is not required, preparation of raw materials is minimal. Jars and lids must be sterilized. The drink turns out to be ready to drink - before serving, you will not need to dilute it with additional water.

We sort out the cherries from the debris, remove the stalks. Rinse thoroughly and dry after that.

We wash the nectarines, dry them, cut them in half and remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into slices.

We thoroughly rinse jars and lids and sterilize in any usual way. We put the prepared fruits in jars. Pour in granulated sugar and citric acid.

Bring the water to an active boil and pour it into jars with fruit and sugar. We close the jars with sterile lids and tighten with a special key.

We turn the jars with compote upside down to check the tightness. We wrap them in a blanket and leave to cool slowly. After cooling, we remove the seaming for storage in the refrigerator.
