This recipe for making compote is as simple as possible. It will not require more strength or special culinary skills from you. Just 60 minutes, and the aromatic drink is ready.

We wash the cans well with soda or detergent. After that, we need to scald them with boiling water along with the lids. We will sterilize the jars with steam. To do this, you can use a regular pot or kettle. Transfer the jars to a kitchen towel. You do not need to wipe them, as they will dry quickly themselves.
To prepare the sugar syrup, we fill a saucepan with cold water. We put it on the stove. When the water boils, start gradually adding sugar to it. Stir the syrup constantly. Place 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar in a saucepan. It will give our compote a pleasant aroma. Add citric acid last. Stir the syrup again. The finished sugar solution must be filtered. For this we use a sieve or cheesecloth.
