Ranetki and apricot compote for the winter

The drink prepared according to this recipe will be dominated by apricot taste, and apple sourness will complement it and bring its own “zest”. It is best to use "heavenly" apples, which have a sweet and sour taste, however, fruits of other varieties are also suitable.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Rinse the fruit thoroughly and discard in a colander, allowing excess water to drain. Cut the apricots in the center and remove the pit.
step 2 out of 7
If you have large apples, then we do not cut them into thick slices, but if small ones, it is enough to cut them in half, or you can leave them whole. Do not forget to clean the seed pods and stalks from the ranetki.
step 3 out of 7
Sterilize one and a half liter jars and let dry completely. Then we put the prepared ingredients on the bottom.
step 4 out of 7
We boil the kettle and fill the container up to the "neck", loosely close the lid and leave to warm up for at least 20-25 minutes.
step 5 out of 7
After that, pour the water into a saucepan of a suitable size, bring to a boil and pour the fruits again. For the richness of taste and aroma, it is recommended to repeat this procedure 3-4 times.
step 6 out of 7
Finally, drain the water, add sugar and, with constant stirring, bring to a boil, reduce the flame and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved.
step 7 out of 7
With a ready-made, sweet filling, we fill the cans and immediately roll up. Turn the container over and cover with a thick cloth for at least 12-14 hours. After cooling, we put it into storage.
