Ranetki and cherry compote in a 2-liter jar for the winter

To give the compote a bright red color, berries such as currants, mountain ash and, of course, cherries are perfect. The combination of sweet apples and sour cherries gives the drink a rich taste and unobtrusive pleasant aroma. And the recipe is so simple that even a child can handle it!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
We prepare two-liter jars: we rinse with a soda solution and sterilize as it is convenient for us (in the microwave or in the oven, in a water bath). We take apples only ripe, without damaged areas and also rinse them under running water.
step 2 out of 7
My ranetki are large enough, so I cut them into several pieces and remove the core. If your apples are small, then you can leave them whole. It is recommended to leave the skin, since it is in it that all the useful trace elements and acids are contained.
step 3 out of 7
We collect water in a saucepan and set to boil, as soon as the first bubbles begin to appear, we send the chopped fruits there.
step 4 out of 7
Next, we send the pre-washed cherries to the apples, along with the seeds. Leave the compote on the stove over low heat for about 20-25. The process should be monitored so that the apples do not boil.
step 5 out of 7
Before removing the drink from the heat, add sugar and mix thoroughly until completely dissolved.
step 6 out of 7
Pour the finished compote into jars and roll it up, turn it upside down and leave to cool.
step 7 out of 7
We put the jars for storage in a dark place or immediately serve them to the table. Bon Appetit!
