Ranetki compote in a 2-liter jar with a screw cap

Apples are placed in jars and filled with sugar syrup. Everything is twisted with lids, turned upside down and left to cool completely. The compote is stored in a cool, dark place.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
First of all, we sort out the apples and choose strong, ripe fruits from them. Then we thoroughly rinse them under running water and put them in a colander so that all excess liquid is glass.
step 2 out of 6
We pierce each apple in several places with a fork or toothpick so that they do not burst in the compote.
step 3 out of 6
Now we are preparing the syrup. Pour drinking water into a saucepan, pour granulated sugar into it and send everything to the fire. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 4 out of 6
Put apples in clean jars up to the "shoulders" and fill them with the resulting sugar syrup to the very brim.
step 5 out of 6
We cover the jar with a lid and put it in a saucepan, on the bottom of which we put a rag. Sterilize for 25 minutes for a 2 liter jar. Ideally, take a deep saucepan so that the water reaches the very neck of the jar.
step 6 out of 6
Now we tighten the lids tightly, turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a blanket or blanket and leave them overnight. We send the finished compote for storage in a dry place. We pour it into glasses and serve a delicious drink to the table. Bon Appetit!
