Rhubarb compote for children

In late spring, early summer, late summer and throughout September, rhubarb stems can be harvested in the form of compotes. These preparations are also useful for the health of children, moreover, they love the sweet and sour taste of such compotes. When children use compote from a jar, dilute it with warm boiled water in a 1: 1 ratio.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Wash jars and lids with soda and sterilize. Go through the cuttings of rhubarb and examine them, remove even the slightest hint of leaves. Wash, peel and cut the rhubarb into pieces.
step 2 out of 6
Put rhubarb into the jars, filling about 1 / 3-1 / 4 of the glass container. Pour boiling water over the roots and let stand for about 10 minutes.
step 3 out of 6
Pour clean water into a saucepan, put on fire. On medium heat, heat the water to 70 degrees (when steam starts to rise actively from the pan). Add sugar, stir. When the mixture boils, the sugar syrup must be stirred again.
step 4 out of 6
Shake cans of rhubarb, pour water out of them. Pour the boiled syrup into each jar, filling it to the brim.
step 5 out of 6
Roll up the jars and turn them upside down, let cool, wrapped in a warm towel.
step 6 out of 6
Store in a cool, dark place. Drink compote for 1 year.
