Pitted plum compote for the winter

Have you ever tried a spicy plum compote with cloves, ginger and cinnamon? We invite you to enjoy this amazing drink on a cold winter evening, having prepared a couple of jars of such compote during the season. Fragrant, spicy, amazingly tasty - it is impossible to describe it in words, you must definitely try it! Prepare all the ingredients and let's get down to cooking!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Thoroughly rinse dense ripe plums under running water, removing leaves and stalks. We spread the plums on a kitchen towel and leave for 15-20 minutes to dry from the water. Then, using a sharp knife, cut the plums along the groove and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 5
Let's start preparing a fragrant syrup: pour water into a deep saucepan, put it on medium heat and heat it up. Then add sugar and spices, stir until sugar dissolves and bring to a boil, then remove the pan from heat.
step 3 out of 5
We wash the compote jars with baking soda, rinse with warm running water and sterilize over steam for 10-12 minutes. Then we put the hot jars on a stand or wire rack and let them cool down a little. We put prepared plums in sterilized jars.
step 4 out of 5
Remove the clove buds from the syrup using a slotted spoon or wooden spoon, we no longer need them, and pour the hot syrup into the jars. We tighten them tightly with boiled lids and turn them upside down, thus checking the tightness of the twist.
step 5 out of 5
Cover the jars with compote with a terry towel or blanket and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Then we remove the compote for storage in a dark, cool place.
