Here is one of the simplest recipes for making plum compote for the winter - with citric acid and without sterilization. Such compote is stored for a very long time, it turns out to be incredibly tasty and aromatic. It has only one drawback - it ends too quickly! Prepare plum compote in large volumes, you will not regret it!

We clean the plums of debris and rinse them under running water. To avoid subsequent skin cracking, make several punctures on each fruit with a toothpick or fork.

Put the washed plums in a pre-sterilized jar.

Pour the required amount of granulated sugar into the plums. Pour boiling water into a container with the contents, cover the jar with a lid and let it stand for 15 minutes.

After a while, add a pinch of citric acid to the plums, add boiling water to the very top. We make the seaming immediately.
