Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
For the preparation of compote, we have selected ripe juicy plums with sourness. If the plums are sweet, it is best to add a little citric acid to the compote during the cooking process - the compote will turn out to be even tastier.
step 2 out of 4
Thoroughly rinse the plums under a stream of warm running water, remove the stalks and leaves. For compote, you can use brown sugar, it goes very well with plums in taste, and the compote will be complemented with caramel notes. Rinse the mint sprigs under a cool stream of running water and put them on a kitchen towel so that they dry out a little while we cook the compote.
step 3 out of 4
Put the pot of water on the fire, bring it to a boil and add the prepared plums. We boil for 2-3 minutes, during this time the peel on the plums will crack, they will begin to give their color and taste to the water. Then add sugar to the compote, mix and boil for another 1-2 minutes, after which we remove the pan from heat. Rub a little mint sprigs in the palms and put them in a saucepan with compote. We close the pan with a lid and leave the compote to brew for 30-40 minutes. If necessary, pour the compote into a jug and put it in the refrigerator to cool.
step 4 out of 4
Pour the finished compote into glasses, decorate with a sprig of mint and serve. Quench your thirst tasty and healthy!
