Plum and lingonberry compote for the winter

We offer a recipe for preparing compote without preservatives, which is useful for children and adults. So that the drink does not taste bitter, lingonberries need to be poured with cold water and left for an hour.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Pour the lingonberries into a colander. First, rinse it with cold water, remove the leaves and twigs. We leave the berries in a colander to drain excess liquid.
step 2 out of 7
Next, we rinse the required number of drains. When the fruits are dry, you will need to remove the seeds from them. To do this, cut the plums in half with a sharp knife.
step 3 out of 7
Pour the purified water into a saucepan. Pour sugar into it and start heating. While stirring, bring the water to a boil. When the sugar dissolves, put the plums in the syrup. Cook them for 20-25 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
We prepare 3-liter cans. We need 3 pieces. We clean them together with the lids with a soda solution. We rinse very thoroughly and then sterilize. We shift the plums into clean jars, which we take out of the pan with a slotted spoon.
step 5 out of 7
Pour the lingonberries into the syrup and cook them for 15-20 minutes.
step 6 out of 7
After a while, we also transfer it to banks. Fill with syrup and cover the container with lids. We roll them up, turn them over and wrap them with a blanket.
step 7 out of 7
After the jars of compote have completely cooled down, we transfer them to a cool, dark place.
Have a nice appetite!
