Plum and pear compote in a 3 liter jar for the winter

Pear and plum are fruits of garden trees that are rich in vitamins A, B, C, iron, calcium and many useful substances. Today we will combine these healthy fruits and prepare a useful harvest from them for the winter. Ideally, if the fruits are harvested in your own garden, then you will be sure of the quality and usefulness of the fruits. The sweetness of the pear ideally dilutes the sourness of the plum and you get a delicious pear-plum compote of a beautiful rich color.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
For the preparation of compote, we have chosen juicy ripe pears. We wash them under running water, cut them into four parts and remove the core. Then cut the pears into thin slices.
step 2 out of 4
We select ripe and dense plums. We wash them under running water, put them on a towel and let them dry a little. Then cut in half and remove the bones. Seedless compote can be stored for a long time and you do not have to worry that it will be saturated with the taste of bones and harmful substances. We put prepared pears and plums in sterilized jars.
step 3 out of 4
Let's start preparing the syrup: pour water into a saucepan, put on fire and bring to a boil. Then add sugar, mix, boil for another 2-3 minutes and remove the saucepan with syrup from the heat.
step 4 out of 4
Pour the fruit with hot syrup, cover the jar with a lid and put it in a deep saucepan with a cotton napkin on the bottom, pour warm, but not hot water from the kettle so that it reaches the can's hanger, and put the pan on the fire. Bring the water in the pan to a boil, sterilize the compote for 10-15 minutes and carefully remove it from the pan using a stick. Close the jar tightly with a boiled lid, turn the jar with the compote upside down and leave it at room temperature until it cools completely. Then we remove the compote for storage in a dark, cool place.
