Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
To make the compote not sugary sweet, we recommend that you choose an apple variety with sourness. We wash the apples and plums under warm running water and put them in a colander so that the water is glass.
step 2 out of 6
Then we cut the plums in half and remove the seeds - this way, the compote will taste softer, without the taste of seeds and can be stored for a longer time. Cut the apples into quarters and remove the core and stem.
step 3 out of 6
We wash the compote jars with baking soda, rinse well with water and sterilize over steam for 3-5 minutes. Then we leave the sterilized jars to cool for 5-7 minutes. We fill the jars with prepared fruits almost halfway, put them on a wire rack or stand and pour boiling water into the jars. We cover the jars with lids and leave for 15-20 minutes so that the fruits are sterilized and steamed a little.
step 4 out of 6
After the specified time, drain the water from the jar into the pan, add sugar, mix and put on fire. Bring the compote to a boil, boil for 3-4 minutes and remove from heat.
step 5 out of 6
Gently pour hot syrup into a jar and seal tightly with a lid. Turn the jar of compote upside down, wrap it with a blanket and leave it to cool completely.
step 6 out of 6
Then we remove the finished compote for storage in a dark, cool place. The longer it is stored, the richer its taste and color will become.
