Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We wash the dense fruits of the plums in running water and put them on a kitchen towel so that they dry out a little. It is recommended to take juicy apples for preparing compote, it is possible that they contain a slight sourness. We also rinse the apples under running water, put them on a kitchen towel and let them dry. Then cut in half or in quarters, depending on the size of the apples, and remove the core.
step 2 out of 5
We wash the compote jars with baking soda, rinse them under a stream of warm running water. We put the jars in a cold oven on the wire rack with the neck down and sterilize at 120 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Then we take the jars out of the oven and let them cool down a little. Put fruits in prepared jars, pour boiling water over them. Pour boiling water into the jar gradually so that it does not burst from the temperature drop, cover it with a lid and leave it for 25-30 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
After the time has elapsed, remove the lids from the jars, put on the nozzle with holes and drain the water, leaving the fruit in the jar. We put a saucepan with compote on the fire, add sugar, stir and bring to a boil.
step 4 out of 5
Pour hot compote into jars and seal them tightly with lids.
step 5 out of 5
We turn the jars with compote upside down and check the tightness. We wrap the jars with a warm blanket and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Then we remove the compote for storage in a dark, cool place.
