Cherry and apricot compote in a 3-liter jar for the winter

Bright yellow and ripe apricots will make anyone smile at a time when the seasonal sun is not enough. Also, their pleasant and somewhat creamy taste will not go unnoticed, which is accompanied by refreshing notes that will take you to the tropics in an instant. This is one of the most successful fruits to be combined with sour cherries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Initially, we will prepare all the necessary components. We sort out apricots and cherries so that spoiled fruits do not come across in the compote. Then we clean the cherries from the cuttings and rinse well.
step 2 out of 6
Divide the washed and dried apricots in half and remove the seeds from them. Fold half of the apricots separately from the cherries.
step 3 out of 6
Then, be sure to rinse the cans of soda and sterilize in any way you are accustomed to, be it an oven, microwave or steam.
step 4 out of 6
In prepared jars, first put the cherry fruits, and then the apricot slices so that they do not crumple under the weight of the berries. Fill the contents of the jar with boiling water, directing the stream directly to the center, and leave in this form for a maximum of 15 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
After this time, pour the water into a saucepan and pour granulated sugar into it. Mix the contents thoroughly, bring to a boil and pour into the jars, filling them to the very top. Do not be afraid if you overflow a little.
step 6 out of 6
We roll up the jar with a sterilized lid and wrap it in a blanket so that the compote gradually cools down. After cooling, store the compote at room temperature. The absence of direct sunlight is important.
We wish you a fun process and a great result!
