Cherry and black currant compote for the winter in a 3 liter jar

Despite the rather mediocre combination of black currant and cherry, this berry compote is worthy of everyone's attention. Such a compote is distinguished by its expressive and bright taste, which is impossible not to notice, having tried it at least once.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Let's measure out the required amount of berries, from which we are going to make compote. Also, for cherries and black currants, do not forget to cut off the tails.
step 2 out of 6
We wash the cherries in plenty of water and leave to dry, spreading them out on a paper towel or leaving them in a colander.
step 3 out of 6
Blackcurrant berries are best blanched. To do this, put them in a colander and briefly lower them in boiling water. We do this several times.
step 4 out of 6
Be sure to sterilize the jars and lids in any way suitable for you and only after that we fill them with berries, alternating currants and cherries.
step 5 out of 6
So compote is a drink for which you need to prepare a delicious sweet syrup. Pour granulated sugar into cold water and stir well, then boil the liquid for 4-5 minutes until the sugar grains are completely dissolved.
step 6 out of 6
Pour boiling sugar syrup into jars filled with berries. We try to pour the syrup into the very center of the jar, without touching the walls with boiling water. Then we roll up the compote with a sterilized lid, check for leaks and cool to room temperature.
We wish you bon appetite!
