Cherry and gooseberry compote

Cherries with gooseberries go well together in compote. This compote recipe is not for seaming, but for fresh consumption. Vitamin compote will be useful for both children and adults. Therefore, it is better to freeze the berries for the winter and prepare fresh compote as soon as you feel like it.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Remove the frozen cherries (pitted or unpitted) from the freezer and set aside the required amount of berries.
step 2 out of 4
Then take the gooseberry. You can change the proportions of berries at your discretion, depending on which berry you like best.
step 3 out of 4
Put the berries in a saucepan, add sugar. One and a half glasses of granulated sugar is the minimum required, the berries are quite sour and more sugar may be required. It all depends on you. Next, pour clean water, filtered or bottled into a saucepan. Bring the compote to a boil and let it brew for a little, turning off the heat.
step 4 out of 4
Before drinking the compote, strain it with a strainer. Store the remaining compote in the refrigerator for no more than a couple of days, but better prepare fresh - it's very simple!
