Cherry and raspberry compote

We offer a very simple recipe for cherry and raspberry compote. The amount of ingredients is calculated for four liters. Usually, the prepared raw materials are placed in a jar and filled with syrup, but in this recipe we propose to simplify the steps. Simply pour boiling water over the berries with sugar in a jar and roll up. Of course, jars and lids should be sterilized before cooking, and the raw materials should be thoroughly rinsed with running water.

We sort out the raspberries: we throw away random garbage, we remove the copies with defects. We wash the berries under running water and let the liquid drain by placing the raspberries in a colander.

We also sort out the cherries and rinse them. Let the berries dry. You do not need to remove the bones.

Pour cherries into sterilized jars. Then put the raspberries and cover the berries with granulated sugar.

Bring water in the indicated amount to an active boil and pour berries with sugar in jars into it. We immediately roll up the lids. We turn the cans upside down to make a tightness test. Cover the jars with compote with a blanket and let them cool slowly. We remove the cooled compote in a cool, dark storage place.
