Cherry compote for now

I love cherry compote very much. Therefore, today I want to share with you a recipe for frozen cherry compote, which I often cook. I do not buy drinks in stores, I try to drink either plain water, or compotes and fruit drinks, prepared with my own hands.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Pour the required amount of drinking water into a deep saucepan. If you want the compote to be not too sweet, you can reduce the amount of granulated sugar or increase the amount of liquid. Put a pot of water on fire and bring to a boil over high heat.
step 2 out of 5
After boiling, add granulated sugar. Adjust the amount of granulated sugar according to your own preferences.
step 3 out of 5
When the granulated sugar is completely dissolved and the water boils again, add the frozen cherries, they do not need to be defrosted first. Bring to a boil and as soon as the cherries float, reduce heat and cook the compote for about 10-15 minutes.
step 4 out of 5
Remove the compote from heat. Cover the saucepan with compote and cool completely for 2-2.5 hours. This time is quite enough for the compote to completely cool down and infuse well.
step 5 out of 5
Serve the cooled compote in portions in beautiful glasses. The finished compote can be stored in the refrigerator for about two days. This compote can be cooked with fresh cherries. I cook such a compote with both fresh and frozen cherries. This will not affect the taste in any way. The compote turns out to be very tasty and aromatic.

Enjoy!
