Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Banks must be thoroughly washed and sterilized. The lids are also sterilizable.
step 2 out of 7
We sort out the berries, removing the spoiled and rotten ones. Rinse the cherries thoroughly.
step 3 out of 7
We fill liter jars with cherries, using their volume by a third.
step 4 out of 7
Then pour the amount of granulated sugar required according to the recipe into each jar of berries.
step 5 out of 7
Pour water into a saucepan, boil it. Then, carefully so that the cans do not burst, pour the berries to the very top of the container used. Often in this situation, an ordinary iron spoon is used - it is enough just to put it in a jar, into which boiling water is poured.
step 6 out of 7
Close the filled jars with boiled lids. After that, each liter jar with compote must be shaken from side to side, thereby distributing granulated sugar. Next, we turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a warm blanket and leave them to cool in this form.
step 7 out of 7
A delicious and incredibly fragrant cherry compote is ready for the winter!

Enjoy your meal!
