Cherry compote recipe to drink right away

It is not customary in our family to buy juices and carbonated drinks. In the summer, I try to prepare a large number of compotes for the winter, and also freeze various healthy berries. Today I want to share a recipe for frozen cherry compote. I freeze cherries with seeds, and also without seeds.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Prepare the required ingredients for the cherry compote. If you also use frozen berries, you do not need to defrost them first.
step 2 out of 5
Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan and draw in about 3 liters of cold water. Bring the water to a boil and add the required amount of granulated sugar. Adjust the amount of granulated sugar in accordance with your taste preferences.
step 3 out of 5
When the granulated sugar has completely dissolved and the water boils again, add the frozen cherries and bring the compote to a boil over medium heat.
step 4 out of 5
Wait until the cherries float, reduce heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes. Cover the saucepan with compote and let cool completely in this form for about 1.5-2 hours.
step 5 out of 5
During this time, the compote will cool down and infuse well. Serve the cooled compote in portions in beautiful glasses or glasses. Store the finished cherry compote in the refrigerator for no more than two days. But we do not have this compote, we drink it in one day.

Enjoy!
