Cherry compote with pits

Compotes for the winter are prepared very simply. You do not need to boil the product for a long time, follow the step-by-step cooking technology, etc. It is enough just to carefully sort and rinse the berries, put them in suitable jars and pour syrup. And by opening such a can at the right time, we will get a fragrant and bright drink that will appeal to both adults and children. When preparing cans and lids, do not forget to pay special attention to sterilization - this will allow you to safely store the compote for a year without the risk of damage.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
We sort out cherries, twigs, leaves, random debris and defective fruits we throw away. Rinse the berries thoroughly with running water. Let the water drain by placing the cherries in a colander.
step 2 out of 4
Pour the prepared cherries into clean, sterilized jars (if there are several jars, we try to evenly distribute the total number of cherries, if there is only one jar, we pour the entire volume of berries into it).
step 3 out of 4
Pour the specified amount of water into a saucepan, add sugar and put on the stove. Bring the syrup to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes.
step 4 out of 4
Pour cherries in jars with prepared syrup and immediately roll up with sterile lids. Turn the jars of compote upside down, cover with a warm blanket or pillow and let cool slowly. The cooled workpiece can be stored in a cool, dark place. Recommended to be consumed within one year.

Bon Appetit!
