With a wide variety of juices and drinks in the store, homemade compote has a number of advantages, which are known to all housewives. As an option for such a preparation, there will be compote from apples and chokeberry. The volume of cans for compotes is chosen at your discretion, and the ingredients of this recipe are designed for a 2-liter can. For compote, choose apples that are ripe and hard so that they do not become porridge, and they are put in such a drink twice as much as chokeberry. Cook the compote in a saucepan and then roll it up in a jar.

Carefully separate the chokeberry berries from the twigs and stalks and rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove the wax film. Then fold them in a sieve or colander to remove excess moisture.

Rinse the apples well and cut, without peeling, into pieces of any shape and size. Small fruits can be left whole or cut into halves.

In a separate saucepan, boil clean drinking water for a 2-liter can and the volume of your workpiece. Then dissolve the required amount of sugar in water. Put apples and chokeberry into boiling syrup and cook them over low heat for 15 minutes. The compote is considered ready when the chokeberry peel begins to burst.

Sterilize clean 2-liter jars in any way, and boil the lids. Gently pour the cooked apple and chokeberry compote into sterile jars and immediately seal tightly with lids. Check the tightness of the seaming. Then put the jars on the lids and cover with any "fur coat" for one day. You can store such a compote in a regular pantry or cellar.
