Apple compote with mint for the winter

Just imagine how nice it is to open a jar of homemade compote, smell the apples and remember the warm summer days. This compote not only invigorates, but also, thanks to the presence of mint, perfectly refreshes.

Wash the apples, cut into quarters and core with seeds.

Pour water into a saucepan, add a pinch of citric acid and put apples into it.

Wash and sterilize compote jars, boil the lids.

Divide the apples and mint into the jars.

Put the water with citric acid on the fire and bring to a boil, then pour it over the jars of fruit, leave for 10-15 minutes. After the allotted time, drain the water back into the saucepan and add the sugar. Boil the syrup for 2-3 minutes after boiling.

Pour the hot syrup into jars and roll up the lids. Cool seams upside down. Store the compote in a cool place.
