Strawberry compote for 1 liter jar for the winter

Strawberries are poured with sugar syrup and left for half an hour. Then all the liquid is poured back into the pan, citric acid is added there and everything is brought to a boil. The berries are poured with syrup and the compote is rolled. The result is a drink with a pleasant summer taste.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, prepare the sugar syrup. Pour drinking water into a saucepan, add granulated sugar to it and put everything on fire. Bring to a boil and cook for a couple of minutes, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
step 2 out of 5
We sort out the strawberries, rinse thoroughly under running water, put them on a paper towel and let them dry.
step 3 out of 5
We sterilize the jars in a convenient way and lay the berries on them. Fill everything with ready-made sugar syrup and let stand for half an hour.
step 4 out of 5
After the required time, cover the jars with a special lid with holes and drain all the liquid back into the pan. We put on fire, bring to a boil and add citric acid there.
step 5 out of 5
Remove the pan from the heat and pour the strawberries with boiling syrup. Cover the bottom of the pan with a towel and put jars of compote on it. We cover them with a lid and fill them with water along the "shoulders". Bring water to a boil and sterilize for 10 minutes. Next, we roll up everything with lids, turn it upside down, wrap it in a blanket or bedspread and leave it to cool completely for several hours. Then we send it to storage in a dark, cool place. We take it out in winter, pour it into glasses and enjoy a delicious vitamin drink. Bon Appetit!
