Strawberry jam is well suited for the layer of cakes - it provides the products with juiciness, pleasant berry taste and aroma. We suggest making such a jam from fresh berries with the addition of starch - the mass turns out to be thick and does not spread, which is very valuable when decorating cakes.

Wash the strawberries thoroughly in running water, remove the sepals. Place the washed berries on a clean towel and dry off excess moisture. Then cut the strawberries into pieces.

In parallel, in a separate container, mix corn starch and water in the specified amount. We set aside until the moment of demand.

Place the strawberries in a saucepan and cover with sugar. We put on the minimum fire. With stirring, bring the strawberries to a boil, boil for a couple of minutes.

Stir the mixture of water and corn starch until smooth and pour in a thin stream into the boiling jam with continuous stirring.

Bring the mass to a boil and remove from the stove.
