Lavash envelopes with sausage and cheese in a pan

It is very convenient to have a couple of packages of pita bread in stock. When you need to quickly prepare a hearty snack, breakfast or a quick dinner, this product will be just a salvation. With lavash, the hostesses came up with many different dishes, both sweet and salty. In this recipe, we suggest making envelopes stuffed with sausage and cheese out of it. Everything is extremely simple, both in composition and in the method of preparation. But what is the result! Pets will then often ask to eat such envelopes again.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
As the meat component of the filling, you can use not only boiled sausage. In fact, any meat product is suitable: ham, sausages, salami, etc. Remove the shell from the product and rub it on a coarse grater or finely chop it with a knife.
step 2 out of 9
Rub hard cheese on a coarse grater.
step 3 out of 9
We cut sheets of pita bread with a knife or kitchen scissors into rectangles with approximate dimensions of 15 by 20 centimeters. We put a small amount of chopped sausage and grated cheese on one side, as shown in the photo.
step 4 out of 9
We wash the tomatoes, dry them and cut them into thin slices. We put two slices on top of the filling slide. Sprinkle with a little salt and black pepper. Lightly grease with mayonnaise on top.
step 5 out of 9
Sprinkle with grated cheese again. Thanks to the double layer of cheese, the filling in future envelopes will hold well and will not crumble when eaten.
step 6 out of 9
Fold the edges of the pita bread in the form of an envelope.
step 7 out of 9
Thus, we fill all the pieces of pita bread and form envelopes.
step 8 out of 9
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan and put the prepared envelopes. Fry them for a couple of minutes on each side at a medium-low temperature of the stove. The envelopes should be covered with an appetizing golden brown crust.
step 9 out of 9
It is best to serve these envelopes hot while the crust is crispy and the filling keeps its stringy texture. Cold or hot, the snack is also tasty, but the crust is already softening.

Bon Appetit!
