Red currant with lemon without cooking for the winter

The currants are crushed with a blender and granulated sugar with lemon passed through a meat grinder is added to it. Everything mixes well and is laid out in sterile jars. It turns out a very tasty delicacy that will be a great addition to tea.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
First, we sort out the red currants and remove the debris along with the stems. Then we thoroughly rinse it under running water, put it in a colander and let it stand until all the excess liquid drains.
step 2 out of 5
Transfer the berries to a blender bowl and grind them for a couple of minutes. It is important not to interrupt them so that the bones remain intact. You can also do this with a potato press or wooden crush.
step 3 out of 5
Pour boiling water over the lemon, cut into quarters and remove the seeds. Then we pass it through a meat grinder to make a gruel.
step 4 out of 5
Add granulated sugar, crushed lemon to the grated currants and mix everything well until smooth.
step 5 out of 5
We thoroughly wash and sterilize the jars in which the red currants will be stored. We spread the berry mass on them. Pour a little sugar on top so that air locks form. Tightly tighten with sterile lids and store in the refrigerator. We take it out in winter and serve it with fresh white bread and hot tea or coffee. Bon Appetit!
